Hi,

I just bought a Galaxy S2 but when connect it to my PC via USB it doesn't register in My Computer screen and I get a hardware failed to install message. Any ideas?

No it's XP but I figured it out. Manual was telling me to activate USB storage in wireless and network menu. I found it in the notifications screen. Thanks anyway guys.

When you plug it in did you choose "usb connected / turn on usb storage" from the pull down menu at the top of your galaxy?
You may need to search for "samsung galaxy s drivers" online. I had to do that for one of the xp computers at work but it just plugged in and worked right away on my win7 machine at home. As mentioned, I think installing kies may also install the drivers for.
