| I'm assuming that it doesn't exist, because I can't find it anywhere, but I've seen a couple web postings saying that it does exist. What's the deal? |

| Use MPlayer OSX Extended (http://www.mplayerosx.ch/), it's much better then VLC for playing videos. I would only use VLC if you need to use it's other features. |

I do use VLC, and it works fine for my purposes, but I can't get Korean subs to play on it, and there are certain movies that my girlfriend kind of needs them for. I've followed the directions on how to get Korean subs to work with VLC (changing the source language), and haven't gotten anywhere. Gom would be convenient because it automatically finds subtitles.
Can MPlayer play Korean subs? |

i think gom player is only for windows.
vlc player does play korean subs. i got it to work on my friends mac and it was very hard ('cause i know windows really, really well and not os x). you have to actually download a korean font onto the mac because vlc player doesn't have a font built in. i can't remember if i put the font in the default os x font folder or if i had it someplace random. then i was able to see the fonts name and choose it in vlcplayer; or i directed vlcplayer to the folder i saved it in and then choose it in vlcplayer. the hardest part was finding a free korean font that would work with os x (took me over 30 minutes).

| Gom Player is only for PC. VLC works fine but i recommend using only .SRT subtitle files. Also, make sure the SRT file and the Video filename are the same (minus the .srt or .mkv type extensions). |

Cool they made a Mac version. Only can download using Safari btw. If you try it with Firefox you get an error box. |
