This is not only my first post to the ESL cafe, but also my first time teaching in South Korea. I am hoping that someone can relate some POSITIVE information about Seoul (specifically JungNang), the SLP school there, and any other info for first time teachers/ first time living abroad/first full time job.
I really want to know things like: how was it planning your first class? Did you say hello when the students walked in and they looked at you with blank faces? What kind of things did you do- where did you go out- when you first arrived? Are there areas nearby to go hiking, kayaking, camping, outdoor activities like that? IS there any other info that you think could help a first timer???
I have read several other negative posts about the SLP schools, but I am already set to go- getting last minute worries!
Thanks! |
