|
|
I've always wanted to try whitewater kayaking, and I figure since I'm living in Gangwondo now, this summer's a good time to start.
I've gone sea kayaking a few times, and I've been whitewater rafting many times, but I've never tried whitewater kayaking so ideally I'd like to take some kind of intro course for a day or a weekend.
I found this post from Korea Tourism
http://www.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?cid=260563
which talks about a place in Inje, which would also probably be the most convenient location for me.
I'm going to contact them and see what they say, but I'm also wondering if any of you have tried it in Korea, and if you have any advice or can suggest any places worth checking out. Unfortunately my Korean is brutal, so I'd like a place where at least one of the instructors speaks passable English.
Thanks |

I've kayaked with them before, I went with my husband and our two friends last summer. It was awesome! The lady who runs it speaks perfect English, the pension was SO nice to stay in, they picked us up from the bus terminal, and the river run was fabulous. Our guide was amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
I blogged about it, here's the post: http://rossandnicole.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/an-adventure-down-stream
If you have any questions, let me know!! |
