If you owned a copy and had created an account on a server in another country, and you use the same version to install it on a computer here, and try to access your account here, you will get an initial error message -- they will lock your account for "suspicious" activity. You will have to verify that you own the account by logging into battlenet. After doing that (and possibly changing the password), you will be good to go.
If you buy a Korean copy and install it, it will not let you access US or EU servers.
I meet my friends in the game every week, and have done so for years. When I return to the US for a month or so, I have to verify/reset, since my account is being logged in from another country. Then, when I return to Korea and try to play from there, I have to verify/reset again, as I have changed countries again.
The verfication is pretty simple -- just password and secret question stuff, and generally takes less than 5 minutes. |

Yes it works. Ping is okay, not too bad (like, 150-200ish depending on the time of day). Blizzard will ban hammer you whenever you try to log in and make you reset password. This will continue to happen if you don't log in every single day. |

I have only ever had to reset my password once -- the first time I log on in the new country -- then it is fine from that country. Once when I get back to the US and play on my computer there -- and once again when I come back to Korea and log on to my computer here....
If you swap computers, or use a proxy, then you may have to reset again -- I think they associate an IP address with your account, and so if the IP address changes, the account is locked until password reset (which only takes a couple of minutes to fix).
I HAVE noticed the problem when I switched from my own computer to my buddy's computer whilst back in the US -- and it stopped us from sharing accounts/levelling each other's toons.... |

I played starcraft 2 and WoW just a little bit. I noticed that if I logged in every day it was fine, but if I went without logging in for 2-3 days I would get banned and be forced to reset my password. I didn't use a proxy and only used a single computer. |
