|
| Apparently these are both happening this weekend and you can do both of them in one day, either Saturday or Sunday. My questions are: (1) which day is better to go? and (2) anyone have a suggested intinerary for doing both? |

The HiSeoul Festival is happening, too, and all are in the same general location within a few blocks. Just get off at City Hall Station and walk through the Friendship Fair, get something to eat there, and you'll be at the Cheonggyecheon stream. Keep walking and you'll see more HiSeoul activities at Gwanghwamun and the lanterns for the Buddhist holiday.
This is how close everything is-

I still have Saturday marked as "rainy" in the forecast, so I guess that's the day not to go to any of these events?
I remember last year when they had the festival, the weather was awesome. But the lantern festival was always on a rainy night. |

It's only supposed to rain in the morning on Saturday.
Does anyone have some sort of itinerary planned for doing all 3 in one day? Is that even possible? |

| I love the Lotus Lantern Festival but I feel the parade is something you see once and then don't really need to bother with again. When I saw it for the first and only time, I thought it would never end. |

It's very possible. They're all in the same area. |

So in order from best to worst, how does each festival rank? Are they all worth going to? |

The Friendship Fair for the international food and beer is well worth seeing. There will be dozens of tents set up with food and beer for relatively low prices. Then HiSeoul, depending on what event you want to see. |

\\the first festival was cheap, the second got more expensive and last year was more expensive than drinking from homeplus... they are out to make money now.. still worth seeing.. the GS MART is right there so if you don't want to pay 5000 won for a beer from thailand or kenya.. just grab a cass from the GS and walk around.. |
