Has anyone tried this service recently? If so, how long did it take to get your new passport back? |

Thanks. I was looking at the embassy website. It says that I can do it by mail....but I assume going in person is still a viable (and faster) option? If I go in person do I get it back same day? |

I'm not sure, maybe if you call you could get to talk to a real person and ask? Hopefully. I know they often have machines. |

I just did it last month and I used a courier service.. one that was listed in the embassy website. It took a total of 7 days to get it back. Cost 10,000 won each way for the courier service. I chose to get the 52 page book.. which i think is a good idea as its no extra charge and sure beats paying for extra pages later. Taking it there in person is not any faster.. you'll just have to make two trips to the embassy..
Good luck~

What did you get to get the 52 page book? I was told that they simply look at your passport and if you're a frequent traveller give it to you. How did you request it? |

well I put a yellow sticky note on my application.. at the advice of an embassy rep who i talked to. Otherwise they will just give you the normal book. Also I used the application form from the main website in the states.. it has a box you can check at the top. I went ahead and slapped the sticky note on for good measure. Here's a link to the form i used.
