So far, the best explanation is something about politicians in cafes.
Is there any more rational reason for two states to perennially front-load their politics on the rest of the nation?
I mean, unfreezing the House and ditching the electoral college are serious ideas, but there's no real reason for these states to consistently wield their mediocrity in shaping our elections.
If this were an inherent part of our Constitution, I might understand.
But it's not. It's just some random crap that, when we're knee-deep in it, we might want to change. |
