I plan on leaving Korea at the end of August. I plan on going to Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam and possibly London for 5 to 6 days each. My flight to Paris will have been paid for and so will all the hostels.
1. I'll be taking a train as transport to each place--should I get a Bahn card, or is it cheaper to just pay the day of?
2. How do I find out about races taking place in September? I'd like to run a race in each country I visit. 5k or more depending on where I am when I leave Korea.
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I can only answer #1. Yes, that should be plenty of money for food and sightseeing. |

1000 is enough for china as long as you dont live like charlie sheen. ie hit up expat bars at 50 rmb a drink and take 1000 rmb ladies home with you. |

Thanks to both of you! I've now deleted that question and am now focused on Europe. Again, thanks! |

3. Is it smarter to exchange my money in Korea before leaving? I thought I might get more out of my money that way...maybe not?
4. Is it too many places to visit in a month? I could take out Paris/Brussels and don't mind staying in Amsterdam and London longer.

1) budget 70 Euros (US$100) per day. You don't need to spend it all but it sucks to run short on a vacation like that.
2) Don't know.
3) Buy EUROS in Korea. Do NOT take won out of Korea.
4) It is a quick jaunt around western Europe. It is a nice taste but you won't see everything.
5) Don't know.

Ttompatz, you give awesome travel advice, but I don't get how your daily budget for traveling Europe is the same for your daily budget traveling SEA. |

The OP stated that he didn't need to include airfare or accommodation in the budget or it would have been 100 Euros per day plus airfare.
If he plans to add ladies or booze to the mix then add more money or some days will be pretty boring.

When I went I purchased this. 3 countries pass. Benelux(Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) is considered one country. Sounds perfect for your Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France travels... |
