I bought a concept 2 machine here. I don't use it enough, but I like that I can connect to the Internet and race other people online.

The company that sold it to me send me an email every month about meets in the gym and on the water. I usually delete the mails because I don't live in SEoul and don't have any intention of going to a meet.
next time they email me, I'll post up the contact details.

This is the email contact of the guy at the time I bought the machine (3 years ago) so I dunno if it works or not: [email protected].

Rowing is about to take off in a HUGE way here soon. There is a famous TV show called Muhan Dojan where 5 comedians take on physical challenges. This year they are training to enter the Asian games at Rowing (except it's not really the Asian games). Anyway, since they started doing it, I've noticed some of my Uni students talking about rowing. Whatever those guys do is soon copied by the rest of the country.

I think there's a recent thread on rowing in General Forum.

As a matter of interest, have you established the reasons why you don't use the Concept2 enough? Anyway, the online idea sounds good.

The Uni students have rowing freely available to them, provided they commit to training. Otherwise for working Koreans the sport is not practicable, their lifestyles are not balanced enough.

There's also the question of where to store the craft during downtime. And in the cold months I don't think rowing is feasible, b/c of the risk of falling into icy cold water. That's easy one third of the year foregone.

Have you ever checked the prices of skulls? They're hair-raising, especially the nice ones like carbon fiber or kevlar.

Kayaking is a better consideration and more fun, in my opinion.
