Simple poll:

Would you work Mon-Saturday...3 p.m.-9 p.m. (teaching hours) for 4,000,000 won (no housing)?

This would be for either gyopos or "native teachers" who have their own housing.

Why not, over a year you would save quite a bit and only being able to go out one day a week would make you save more.

Need a good holiday at the end, though

Nope. Life is a great game and it's even better to have one outside of working.

I think it would depend on the age of the students. If it was uni students or office workers, probably. But 6 days with elementary students or kindys would be out of the question

For 6 months.

You could save more in 6 months at that job than a year at a hogwon paying 2.0.

edit. Is this some market research?

hell, yes, and I'd probably burn out after 6 months. But that's ok, because I'd save an equivent to what I would otherwise make in a year and half (not 1 year, as one poster mentioned, because you would have to factor in the cost of living while working!).

It sounds fine to me. But from the view of the employer, why don't they just give two people an easy week for 2 million? I'd think the chances of one person on 4 million running out after 6 months is high.

Maybe your severance would also be 4 million.

Really makes it worth it. Otherwise I'd resign after 6 months.

Same, yes for 6 months. Longer than that would start to mess with your mind.
