What's the best place (restaurant/cafe) to smoke shisha/hookah in Itaewon?
I'm ideally looking for a place that doesn't have a time limit on how long you can smoke for (like a couple of places that I know of in Hongdae) and provides unlimited coal at no extra charge. Furthermore, if you know of any restaurants where one can go and smoke shisha and drink tea without having to order any food, then by all means let me know.
Thanks. |

You're better off going to Hongdae. |

I've been to at least 7 places in Itaewon w/ shisha, and none are truly "hookah lounges." B-one probably gives the best hookahs in my experience...have you tried Rainbow in Kangnam?
Btw, if you want the best shisha/ambiance in Bangkok I've got a great place for you. |

I haven't tried Rainbow. What's it like and where exactly is it in Kangnam? Actually, I'm not looking for a bar-type setting (which a lot of these lounges are) but more of a cafe style place. Something with more of a middle eastern feel to it rather than a Korean bar that serves alcohol. |

Raindow went down hill in the last few years
Their shishas are horribly diluted and they jacked up the prices pretty high
I'd go Hongdae too..
but if you still wanna try it, it's in the alley behind exit 7...I think it's 7 (same exit that you would use to go Kyobo book store), right in front of Woodstock bar. Sort of half way between the subway exit and Kyobo, just go into the alley and look around. It has a huge rainbow sign.
There are also a ton of samgyopsal places right next to it, so you may smell it hehe |

I've only been to Rainbow, but I dug the psy-trance the DJ was playing. Place was dirtier than most other hookah bars/lounges I've been to (in the US). Plus I've never been to one where I had to take off my shoes and sit on the floor/pillow. |

Rainbow can be found out exit 6, take I believe your second left, and then your second right. It's on the right hand side in the basement. It is very expensive. Their cheapest drink is 5,000원 and cheapest hookah is 12,000원. Though there is no time limit and I THINK its 1,000 for more coal.
You have to go up to order and pick up your own drinks too which is ridiculous for the price of things but I guess you're paying for the atmosphere.
In Itaewon you can get a hookah at Bedlam, Roofers, B1, Bricx
(Don't go to Bricx it's insanely lame), a couple of the Indian restaurants I think you can get shisha in too.
That's all that pops into my head at the moment but if I can think of anymore I'll post back. Most places charge 10,000, limited flavors, mediocre atmosphere and don't know htf to prepare the shisha anyways.
Good luck.
Oh I just saw for a cafe feel I'd say roofers is your best bet. |

+1
Most of them are bar type settings, but they kill Itaewon every time. |
