My friend is coming in May for three weeks before she goes to India for the rest of the summer. What should we do? We'll probably go to Busan her last weekend and I am trying to find plane tickets to Jeju Island on May 20 - so far a bust. Anyone have any ideas of things to do during the week after I get off work around 7 pm? I appreciate any responses. Thanks

Show your friend dinner in a cool place--Yeongduengpo is awesome. Nice restaurants/shopping and the like. Seoul has so much to do. Look at Groove Magazine--there are always events there. Open mics, concerts, exhibits. You can also give your friend a tour guide map/100 Things To Do In Seoul (Itaewon station). They might want to do stuff on their own while you're at work. And also check out Seoul Eats for food.

Good luck!

There are free tourist guides available in most of the Hi Seoul tourist booths. Look for the 100 things to do in Seoul book. It is in English, filled with pictures and pretty much hits most everything you can do. It's a great starting point to map out what you want to do.

Whatever she does, just tell her to soak of the fresh air, enjoy the smell of the clean breeze, admire and remember how spotless Korean streets are (comparatively), eat lots of food that isn't going to make you shat every 4 mins, appreciate how nice and friendly Korean people are, and love how absolutely wonderful it is that no matter where you are in Seoul, you will never see cow turds filling up the streets. She might also want to enjoy that while some adjushis can be a bit rude and puke on the sidewalk of an evening, it's still much better than watching sober businessmen stop and piss or drop a turd right on the side of the road like it was nothing and then carry on with their day. Because like myself and every I know that has gone there, she's going to hate India.

Ahh, just the thread I was looking for!

All of my friends will be working during the day so having this (guide) will help me kill time and explore.

Thanks!

I was just in Itaewon and I couldn't find that 100 things to do in Seoul Book. Is there anywhere else I can get it for her?
