So, the Toronto consulate instructions are incomplete and next to useless on the matter, and the information I could find from searching the topic fills in those gaps but conflicts with that requested by the consulate. The first question is most important and will determine whether I need to start a new form.
#1 The Real Issue
- Section 16 asks for Occupation, the consulate says "Print the applicant's current occupation in the country where the applicant has been living" (that's actually for Section 16-18. On the other hand every other site and sample I have seen says to put "Teacher" or "English Teacher." Also I am currently unemployed and before that I was a student, so what am I really supposed to put here? What about in section 17 and 18 where it asks for address and phone number?
#2: Just Curious
- In a number of samples I have noticed that in section 25 where it asks whether you have been revoked a Korean Visa, the samples were blank. However, the instructions ask you to put N/A in all fields, don't leave any blank, but what do I put in the check box, do I select no, or do I leave it blank and write N/A beside it? I know that probably seems straightforward enough to most people but I think their instructions are conflicting since I have not applied for a visa before (thus could not have been revoked) so N/A is the correct answer, but assume that they are expecting you to check "no" in the box.
#3 - Why not have another section on the application for this?
- Lastly, the consulate instructions (Toronto) asks for all E1 and E2 Visa Applicants to "provide the full names and complete addresses of post-secondary schools attended." Now where am I supposed to do this? I am assuming that is done by attaching another sheet to the application, but couldn't they clarify that instruction a little more clearly, as in "please attach another sheet to this application containing this information."
I truly hate filling in application forms and the conflicting instructions and lack of clarity provided by the consulate/immigration is really annoying. So I would appreciate any help or insight into this matter. Thank you for your time. |
