The inside of my desktop PC gets full of dust bunnies. I put the PC up off the floor about a foot, and that helps a bit. I guess it is from the generally dirty air, but my apartment gets really dusty, including the inside of my PC. This is even though I am on the 11th floor.
So I've got a new desktop PC now, and the air intake comes from one side of the box and it seems like it would be easy to cover it with a filter or fine screen. If I were back in the US, I would go down to Lowes or some mega-hardware store, get a big filter or screen and cut it to size. No such luck here so far.
I looked around Home Plus and Lotte Mart in the aircon and air filter section and it seems that the only filter you get is the one that comes with the machine.
I looked a bit at ordering from Gmarket, but mostly saw charcoal activated filters in packs of 3 and such. Didn't find anything like a basic fine screen yet.
Anyway, anyone here ever put a filter or fine screen over your PC air intake? What did you use? Where did you get it. Any good ideas? I guess I could just put some material over it until I get to a country with a hardware store (US or Thailand). Maybe someone knows the "filter street" in the Dongdaemun area?
Thanks,

I don't know for sure, but I would suspect that some place in seonin plaza in yongsan would have it. I'll be looking for a 120mm fan for my case tomorrow, so I'll check while i'm there. I wouldn't mind getting a filter myself.

Yep, they have them there at Sunin Plaza.
Go to the places where they sell fans and cools.

Found one for a 120mm fan in seonin plaza at one of the cooling shops there. Cost 3,000 won. Comes with a frame so you can mount it w/ the fan

Great!
Thanks for the good advice. I would have never thought of going to Sunin plaza (or using panty hose) . Both are great ideas.
Thanks,
