Hi I was wondering if someone who can understand Korean could please help me understand my heating. I know how to turn the heating on and turn the hot water on, but I don't know how to only turn the hot water on without the heating. It seems like I have to have the heating on before I can press the hot water button.
Here are two pictures of it:

There are two black switches on either side. The hot water button is the other button next to the power on button. I'm aware that the picture says that it is on 'ondol' at the moment, but that is because I have been trying to experiment.
Thank you! |

Yours is a bit different than mine, but the knob in the middle says "heated water only" at the far left bottom, where you have it turned in the picture. So leave the knob there, turned all the way to the left, for heated water but not heated floors.
Also the button on the bottom left says "quick hot water", in case you need quick hot water without having the floor on. I don't know how that works since I've never encountered such a button. |

The black button on the left face of the heater is for controlling the temperature of the water. 3 settings, with the highest position being the hottest and the lowest being the coolest. The button on the right face of the heater is for controlling the temperature overall. The highest position will ensure that heating is mainly concentrated through the floor, the middle position just says "indoors" and the lowest position will set it on timer.
Based on the pics you provided, try turning the knob in the middle all the way to the left since that says "water only"
However, in my experience, it doesn't work too well.
What I end up doing most of the time is to place the knob around the 10 O'clock position, press the "express hot water" button (the button on the bottom left) and switch the heater off once I'm done. |

I've got the same heater. I simply keep the temperature on minimum during the summer and it doesn't seem to heat the floor at all. I think I have both the black knobs in the middle position, but I would have to get home to confirm it.
Now I have a different question about the heater. Right under the temperature there are two lights. The one to the right turns green when the boiler is actively heating, the one to the right sometimes turns red when something is wrong. Sometimes when I click the turbo heating button the left light will light up and I get no heat. I have noticed that this mostly happen if I have running water on at the moment when I click the button, but I don't know if that is the real reason or what the button really means. Anyone else have any experience with the red light? |
