I hate Assange. I like the concept of Wikileaks but Assange just seems to me like a vain attention-seeker. A lot of the information becomes overshadowed by his own persona. He's a suspicious character who wouldn't even allow a close member of his own wikileaks team where he was getting funding from. So they left and I think they set up Openleaks. Why all the secrecy anyway?

Also why does Wikileaks get all the attention when other genuine whistleblower sites like Cryptome have been around for years? Also a lot of the info released by wikileaks is stuff everyone already knew and doesn't tell us anything new. There's even stuff there which is not accurate or even propaganda and then it is parroted in the media as if its some sort of reliable leak. It would also be quite easy for someone with a vested interest or an intelligence agency to 'leak' information through wikileaks in order to manipulate public opinion for their own agenda. Giving Wikileaks all this attention is just distraction from the facts which show us what's really happening around us.

Assange is a self aggrandizing piece of crap. The sooner he is out of the public eye the better.
