curious if anyone's played/playing this?

tempted to buy it - but would have to be imported from USA as its banned in South Korea and the Japanese version refers Korea as "a certain country in the North"

the basic premise is that Korea is unified by force under Kim Jong-un, who then annexes East Asia and attacks the USA, who have fallen from power after the Middle East cuts off it's oil supply and Russia forms an anti-EU alliance with Ukraine.

sounds like a controversial plot to be sure, but was wondering what others reckon to it?

It was supposed to be China but they changed it for marketing reasons.

Nope, you're thinking of the Red Dawn remake.

Homefront has been absurd from the start.

Talk about unrealistic. Tiny Korea give a beatdown to both China and the US. This little gem must be spawned from the Korean Times.

I think the developers just want to be different from the Call of Duty franchise who use Muslim and Russian renegades for their games......just moving through the axis of evil.......

Anyway, I've been fragging millions of North Korean soldiers for the last three years playing the Crysis series.

I bought it for my X-Box. It's pretty fun but I seriously suck at video games now. My damned guy looks the wrong way when he'e shooting at people! The last game I was good at was Goldeneye.

Did this and it was well worth the 5 minutes.
It's obviously a second-tier shooter (from the graphics to the weapons sounds to the enemy AI). But it does have an interesting storyline going for it. I felt the campaign was a little too short to develop sympathy for the characters and their hardship, but I was glad to spend some time shooting someone other than Nazis, Russians and aliens.

i dled bunch of other games along with it and haven't played any of them so far. i'm rather enjoying league of legends atm. while i recover from the trauma that is teh fail of psn.... Sad

if you ever enjoyed dota in warcraft 3, btw, LoL is great, though it's rough around the edges being a free game and all. i bet battle for newerth is even better.
