My boss told me I need to bring my original degree with me to register at the education office, I've already got my visa and everything so he has the notarized copy.
I'm asking because I left my original degree at my old workplace and it's going to be a pain to hurry getting it back.
Cheers. |

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I was also told by the Human Resources guy to bring my original degree as well. Is this true? Do we really need to bring it to register? Or is this a ploy to hang on to our degree and keep us hostage?
Thanks |

| Never give your original to your employer no matter what. A copy will be fine. They will use it to try and trap you in employment. Your first mistake was giving it to your first employer. |

| I wouldnt bring the original. I would bring another appostiled copy and transcripts. I know that you do not need the transcripts for an E-2 anymore, but some of the education offices have been a pain in the ass and transcripts work as well as your degree. Also, for most of us, they are free. |
