Hi folks,
New to Korea.
Need to buy a phone and tried to get info in a phone shop but they couldn't understand me.
I want to know if the phone deals are like home whereby you can buy a phone and buy credit instead of having a monthly bill?
If so:
How much would a basic phone with internet be?
How much are calls per minute? (ballpark)
How much are texts?
How much is internet?
If someone could provide similar info on bill phones also that would be great. |

you can go the prepaid route and for texting it is fine, but if you want to use the internet and call people, then it will be cheaper to get a plan.
After you get your ARC head over to the nearest KT global store on a weekday and they will be able to explain all the plans to you. They can range anywhere from 25,000 a month to 65,000+. If you sign up for a 2 year plan, many low end phones are free. Expect to pay full price for any new model phone. |

Hey, thanks for that Seoul Nate.
What's a KT Global store? Is it just a regular KT store or do they have people who can speak English?
Thanks again. |

Also wondering if any of the companies provide for "phone 1 friend for free" like we have in Ireland where you can pick one number and call that number for free.
My girlfriend is over here too.. |
