From the researches I've done, the biggest market players in Korea are Apgujongdong, dongdaemun, and myeongdong. I remember that dondaemun used be a "grey market" where you can get great bargains for fake-brand products with qualities close, if not the same, as the real brand.
Now that I'm back in Korea after many years of living overseas, a lot of things have changed and I'm not sure my understanding about Korea is same anymore. I'm trying to look for places with variety of goods but have better bargain than typical Korean or Western markets. I've never heard of Apgujongdong and it's got a lot of hype recently, but there are mixed opinions as to whether it's worth going apart from "window shopping", so to speak.
Flood the comments here, if you can spare the time. |

If you're interested in just general, inexpensive merchandise, you may also consider Namdaemun.
Are you shopping for anything in particular? |
