Hello everyone,

Thanks for coming out to the first Fermentation Celebration. It was such an amazing time that we're doing it again, BLOCK PARTY STYLE.

As before, Fermentation celebration is a party celebrating food, life, and those little microbes that make all of that so much more enjoyable.

If you know how, or want to, make things like yogurt, kimchi, kombucha, kefir, beer, etc. Please go to the sign up page. If you want to make something but don't have starters, contact us and we can put you in touch with other people (for example, I have tons of kombucha starters and kefir grains).

Hey everyone, wanted to bump with some new info regarding the event:

1. We are still gathering participants so join the participants page if you can make any kind of fermented goodness like Cheese, makkoli, kimchi, wine, beer, etc, etc.

2. We are doing the event as a food-fest/block party in Haebongcheon and Kyeongnidan, Yongsan. We're trying to get a ton of restaurants and bars in the area involved. We'll have word on that front by this coming Monday/Tuesday.

I went to the last one with big hopes because it had been advertised as a way to get starters for kefir and kombucha. When we got there, we were told they were only taking names for a waiting list and no one had actual starters to share (and we got there right around when it started, before it got crowded), and a couple months later and no one has ever contacted me about starters.

Glad it sounds like a bigger venue this time around, though.

Hey everyone, quick update on FC2.

We've really ramped up our activities! Things are moving along and we're slowly but surely getting everything together.

As said before FC2 will be a Block Party. We now have 13 restaurants from HBC and Kyeongnidan that are confirmed participants. Here's the list:

HBC--Pinoy Mart, The Local, New Phillies, H Makkoli, Hungry Dog, Indigoes

Kyeongnidan--Craftworks, Bao, Maloney's, Siberia, Carmen's, Chan's Bros.

Our list of participants is also growing. So far we have 9 confirmed and we're about to start tapping into the Korean community to ensure a lively, international mix! That said, we're looking for as many participants as possible! If you think you can make something, DON'T BE SCARED Smile FC2 is gonna be full of good vibes and good people, so bring your butt out and participate!
