Question for those who've been in Apple stores in SK lately. I'm looking to buy an iPad 2 as a gift. Is it readily available at Apple stores in SK, maybe the Myeongdong, Coex, Technomart or Gangnam locations? Apple Korea has a 1-2 week shipping date.

I can't vouch for the ones in Seoul, but I had no problem in Busan picking one up just a week after they were released. There were no 32GB ones in stock, but there were a few 16 and lots of 64.

Just call up and ask. I called and they held one for me for a few hours.

I called the A# in Coex and the Gangnam and Myeondong Frisbee stores and all said they were sold out.

Went to an Apple reseller that I saw as I was walking around and it looked like the had some available. I was tempted to buy one, but decided to hold off. There were some sitting on the floor and a guy bought one while I was looking around. The name of the store is Concierge and it was in the Gangnam/Apujeong area. It's near the Nanta theater with the giant gorilla hanging onto the building. It was on a side street near Cine City, if you know the area.
