| I know there are a ton of great restaurants in Gangnam, many of them of them prohibitively expensive. I remember there being a thread on some New Zealand-based pizza chain that had a theme based on the 7 deadly sins, but I can't remember the name of it. Anyone remember the name or have directions to this place? Also I remember there being an affordable Mexican place (not Tomatillo, something else) but I can't remember the name of that one or directions to it. Give me your recommendations, and please provide directions from the subway if possible! |

Dos Tacos I guess? Line 2 to Gangnam st, exit 6, walk right along to almost the top of the street . It`s bright by the Mac store (before Kyobo building). Even closer to Sinonhyun Station line 9 but I forgot the exit no. |

Din Tai Fung is very reasonable and ridiculously good.
Butterfingers is very reasonable if you don't go all crazy. Also ridiculously good. |

Been to Butterfinger, pretty damn good breakfast food. I will check out Din Tai Fung sometime.

I would say ~15K maximum per person. I don't go to Gangnam often but I was shocked at some of the prices I saw the last time I was there, and many places charge tax on top of that. I remembering seeing an Irish pub that was asking 10K for a pint and 15K for a sandwich. The place was packed too. |

Per your definition of reasonable, I'll generally get a bottle of wine there (only 20,000) and walk out having spent about 20,000 per person. |

If 15,000 won is the limit, sorry to say, but you cannot afford to eat out at nice restaurants as a semi-standard sort of thing.
A good guide for what you can afford is to find 1/3rd or your upper limit. Since 15,000 is your limit, what you can afford is probably 5,000 won per meal, give or take a few. I mean if 35,000 won for your meal breaks your bank, can you really afford to spend 15,000 won?
Otherwise stash some money and save it for a nice night out where you can go somewhere and not have to worry about price.
Better to go to a REALLY nice place once in a while then your choice C semi-regularly. |

Fair point. The dishes at Butterfingers are huge, and everyone I know who goes there generally splits a dish between two people, the most expensive dish being around 18,000. If you're someone who needs two inch-thick slices of French toast, two pancakes, three pieces of bacon, two breakfast sausages, a white sausage, a ham steak, two eggs, and a big pile of hash browns (the split decision) to yourself, I suppose the place is pricey. Thus why I wrote, "if you don't go all crazy," as it's quite easy to over-order and the food isn't cheap if you do (and it's not like you're going to take French toast and scrambled eggs home with you).
Din Tai Fung generally runs around 20,000 per person if you're drinking, 12,000-15,000 if you're not. |

Where is Butterfingers? I've heard about it but never info on the location other than Gagnam. |
