So I have to drive up next week to the Korean Embassy in NYC to get my E-2, was told to bring my passport, college transcripts, passport photo, and $45....I'm guessing also a prepaid envelope since she told me its not a same day service. How long should I expect to wait for my Visa to be finished? |

My school took forever in getting me my issuance number and I went to the consulate with it the Friday morning before my Sunday flight; they were very helpful and the visa was ready by 2pm that day. |

I just went last week to get my visa. I needed my passport, transcript, passport photo, $45, and a few forms. I dropped it off around 10am Monday and it was available for pick-up 3pm Tuesday. They didn't interview me. |

Yes. The address is 460 Park Ave, on the block between 57th & 58th Street. The number of the building is labeled, but there is no indication that there's a Korean consulate inside until you step indoors. The exterior of the building is black (I believe), and there's a sign that says "Korean Consulate" on the inside. Take the elevator to the sixth floor, and the visa division will be on your left. Once you step inside, there will be two separate lines; one is for visas (on the left) and the other is for something I have forgotten. I doubt you will have to wait more than a few minutes--the place was empty both times I went. |
