Not unless it's the kind that folds up and would neatly fit in the luggage area.
Regular bicycle, forget it. |

I saw a guy bring a full sized mountain bike on, he took off the front wheel though. In some of the cars they have space for luggage, and some of these luggage spaces don't have shelves, this is where he stored it. |

I've never seen it on the KTX, and I don't see where you'd really have the room for it on there, BUT I've seen them on the Mughungwha before. Talk to the ticket people at the station, see what they say. I've heard that they don't like it, but it is acceptable, but like I said, I've only seen them on the cheap trains. The other option is to take the bus. You can always take a bike on the cross country buses. |

I brought a full size (22'' frame)mountain bike on the KTX once. It was the first train out of Busan in the morning and it was completely empty except for me and a Korean adjosshi, who had a HUGE problem with me doing that. He told me he was going to call the police, etc. etc. I said go ahead, as the train was about 10 seconds from leaving the station.
Alot of "you Americans think you can do anything" rant from the guy.
In the end I got it to Seoul, then ICN on a bus and to California on the plane after wrapping it up tight with bubble wrap.
(Actually after 3 years back it got stolen a month ago )
It didn't quite fit even with both the wheels removed. Had 2-3 more people come with even small suitcases, there would have been no room. The cargo area on that train is but a tiny closet. |

Some of the ktx cars do have large shelves for big pieces of luggage, I think it is big enough to store a bike there. Or just leave it leaning against the luggage area locked up. It shouldn't be a problem taking a bike onto the train. Just don't forget it when you disembark. |
