Wow... bad boy!
This is really a bummer. And she stood by him before he was elected after he was said to have been a bit... um... "heavy handed" with the ladies (groping, as they say) a few years back.

LOS ANGELES Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has acknowledged that he fathered a child with a member of his household staff, a revelation that apparently prompted wife Maria Shriver to leave the couple's home before they announced their separation last week.
Schwarzenegger and Shriver jointly announced May 9 that they were splitting up after 25 years of marriage. Yet, Shriver moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion earlier in the year after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the child is his, The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.... |

If you've been to frat parties and the like, I don't see how anyone could be that caught off-guard by this. I mean, does anyone really believe in the integrity of a guy who shot up 'roids to become famous? Watch out for those man boobs.
I agree it's kinda a bummer if you liked his movies, but the way Hollywood is you gotta expect at the very least a few indiscretions. Probably just raving because I've never liked actors who try to make every movie a 'blockbuster'. And then becoming a governor because your movies were popular...ughh...at least if I didn't like your movies I didn't have shell out money to see them, but when you can then dictate decisions which can affect my personal environment, and your background is that you've been a chemically-enhanced body builder and science-fiction/action star, that is a little beyond reckoning. On the other hand, hopefully this'll knock some sense into people; okay for the movies (if you wanna pay out of your pocket and use your time that way), not okay for public office. |

Of course, I don't condone his bad behavior. However, I think we should applaud the fact that he came clean about it and is being contrite. |

He had to come clean to pre-empt the damage that would have occured if he had let Maria or the house staff spill the beans first. He is an actor. And he hasn't uttered a chirp about groping people left and right while he was Hollywood's cash cow. Walking up to a crew member at a shoot, reaching into her shirt and pulling her breasts out of her bra, and then laughing in her face about it because she's in no position to do anything about it, you don't get much classier then that, do you?

During the production of the 1991 mega-blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a producer on that film recalls Arnolds emerging from his trailer one day and noticing a fortyish female crew member, who was wearing a silk blouse. Arnold went up to the woman, put his hands inside her blouse, and proceeded to pull her breasts out of her bra.
Another observer says, I couldnt believe what I was seeing. This
womans nipples were exposed, and heres Arnold and a few of his clones
laughing. I went after the woman, who had run to the shelter of a nearby
trailer. She was hysterical but refused to press charges for fear of losing her
job. It was disgusting. |

This news in unsurprising given the enormity of his ego.
Arnold should go and party with The Donald. Arnold and Donald Trump could be great friends because they have a lot of similar qualities (inflated egos, womanizing, think they're invinsible, love the camera, Republicans...) |

Looks like he terminated his marriage.
Hardy-har.
Maria's gotta be not too happy, but she married the guy so to a large extent she's only got herself to blame. |

Incidentally, in case anyone doesn't understand the previous post, an avowed steroid user (Captain Corea) is defending the use of steroids. And yes, he is a steroid user, previous username Juggertha or something along that order. Naturally he'd have an interest in this story. |

I guess that depends on who you ask. I happen to agree with this writer from Mother Jones.
http://motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2011/05/sorry-about-california
"His megawatt-smile denials were pure pap, and if knowledge of his affair had been public it's almost a dead certainty that the recall would have failed and Gray Davis would have remained governor. The car tax would have stayed in place, no bonds would have been issued to make up for it, and California's deficit problems would have been less than half as bad as they turned out to be under Schwarzenegger.
Californians made utter imbeciles of themselves during that ridiculous campaign all because Gray Davis was "boring" and they wanted a totally kewl Movie Star to be the Governor. It was an American Idol election of the silliest variety and it had very serious consequences for this state. But hey -- it's not like we didn't deserve what we got."

And your point is? Yes, I've used steroids. I've discussed it on this forum openly and honestly in the past. No, I don't see it as a problem with integrity. But by all means, why don't you explain what you know about steroid use and integrity. |
