I know that everyone's experiences are different, but for those who have worked at both, can anyone share their pros/cons at working at a middle or an elementary school?
I've worked with both age groups in other countries but I'm just wondering if it's really different in Korea before I make my choice on my application (although I guess it won't even matter if I don't get my choice).
Thanks. |

It all depends on YOU.
If you like teaching vocab, conversation, singing songs, and playing silly games with kids, who prefer to pick their noses and eat it - then choose elementary school.
If you like teaching grammar, more grammar and some conversation to teenagers, then choose Middle school. |

I get more time off at middle school. They're always doing tests, preparing for tests, or dealing with the results of the last test. During these times, my presence is not required in the classroom, and sometimes I don't even need to come in at all. |

There's more breaks and time off for exams in high school. But you risk getting put in a tech school. Depending on the school's level, it can be like teaching at pre-school |
