Hi all,

I have just renewed again and wanted to take my home leave. My old contract doesn't end till June 29. It says I must take my home leave during the last weeks.

The new contract (which states it starts on June 29th) says home leave will be taken while school is not in session.

My school is saying I must take my home leave according to the contract which starts June 29th.

Has anyone else had a similiar problem or situation?

My contract started December 12th, 2008. I've renewed 2 times. Both times the school was accommodating, almost insisting, I wait until school was no longer in session (ending at Christmas) to take my leave. This meant that both times I took the leave on the newer contract, even though it originated from the previous contract. Both the school and I like(d) it that way.

Such things should solely be at the discretion of the principal.
