I did a basic look for this topic and not drawing much info.
My school is pretty good. They provide me with medical and the pension since the beginning and taking out the required amount. Plus taxes too. Yet I have been hit up for extra taxes about 2 times. Each time was a big chunk of a couple hundred thousand. I trust this was not my school playing or cheating me but the government through some sort of tax preparer agency.
Recently I was hit up again it was for "Industrial Disaster Insurance". My co-teacher/whitey wrangler commented that since they have me signed up for the medical and pension that I have to have/pay this new tax too. Now I have been at my school for a while and after more then two years - now the government hits me up for this.
So what is this insurance/tax and do I have to pay? Searching on the board here all I could find is some contracts that comment the school will pay fully.
On a side note for a few minutes I thought this new tax gouge also included unemployment insurance till me and the coteacher noticed they where not charging me for unemployment. Which I am not eligible for anyways. |

Quite a few people (myself included) had to pay extra taxes because the monthly deductions throughout the year were not as high as they should have been. The IDI should be paid by your employer. |
