Anyone know what the deal with EPIK/SMOE healthcare is and what sort of benefits we have? Messed up my lower back and set myself up for an appointment at Dr. Yoo's in Itaewon. Just curious as to whether I'll be out of pocket for all of this or if I'm covered by healthcare at all?

The list of benefits is on the NHIC healthcare page:
http://www.nhic.or.kr/

Typically, if you go to those places in Itaewan you will be out of pocket. They are not covered.

The most I've paid at the chiro is 15,000. I don't live in Seoul though.

Dr. Yoo isn't there anymore. It'll be Dr. Will Choi. He's quite good.

Chiropractic isn't covered by your health care plan.

If you're wondering about costs, I've listed websites of chiros in Seoul (including Dr. Yoo) on this thread:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=205627&highlight=chiropractor

You can contact them and ask. First visit to any of the places I've listed will be the most expensive, but after that, not too bad.

Dr. Yoo (Create Wellness) will cost about 50,000 won plus cost of initial exam.

Dr. Jong (New York Wholistic) costs about 69,000 plus initial exam. I forget how much it is.
