I was wondering if anyone knew if E-2 visa holders are able to receive any money back from VAT. I have tons of receipts that I have saved over the year and was wondering if I can get the money back.

I read information about tourist able to receive their money back can E-2 visa holders as well get it?

Ordinary receipts - like from a mart or a department store in your neighborhood - with the amount of VAT marked wouldn't be eligible for VAT refund. Only those shops with 'Tax Free' logo that are recognized by the National Tax Service can issue slips for VAT refund, provided the amount of purchase exceeds 50000 Korean Won, as determined by the Ministry of Finance, which then must be presented to a tax refund office within three months of purchase.

Do you meet all those requirements?
