| I brought my own phone and signed up for the service with SK and I paid about 55000/month. It's a similar price to any smartphone plan with those minutes and unlimited data. |

blackberries are different because BIS is not included in the data. First, im not sure they even offer unlimited data, its like 2GB or something, second, you have to pay an additional 12,000w for the BIS on top of the plan. if you want 300 minutes, decent data and text messaging,your paying 70,000w-80,000w...
I pay about 55 and i have 750 text messages, 500mb data, and NO minutes. when i use my blackberry for calling i just pay per call (per 10 seconds...) i use skype and msn most of the time to communicate so i dont really care...
korean phone plans suck big ones....please in north america, especially canada should stop complaining...i can easily get a completely unlimited blackberry retention plan for like 65$ in canada... |

Appreciate the info...
In general, mobile phone service in Korea is top notch and cheap. Depending on the year of the survey U.S. and Spain usually comes out on top as the most expensive for mobile services.
But yeah, it makes sense that bb service is more expensive here. |
