|
|
Hi Guys,
1. First off, I want to say "thank you" for all the advice on preparation. This is my second day in Gangnam and I feel pretty well acclimated.
2. What do you guys think is a good plan for cell phone service?
Even though I have an international phone plan, I'm not receiving any service. I'm wondering whether I should just use a local phone, and call people in the US from Skype, or whether I should get an international plan.
3. What do you guys think is a good plan for internet service in my room?
4. Should I do "month to month" or a one year plan for phone, internet, gym, etc.?
Thanks for the conisderation |

2. I use KT because i got a bundle deal with mobile, internet, and TV.
Use Skype or Viber to call internationally. Skype minutes are also very affordable.
3. I live off of Gangnam Stn and thought my internet speeds would be throttled but so far it's been great. YouTube is throttled though, Bittorent isn't.
4. Depends how long you're in Korea for. Year plans give significant discounts. Gym is usually month to month but they may give discounts if you pay a few months in advance or pay in cash. |
