Currently, i fund my PayPal account from my account in the home country. But my bank here in Korea charges me a fee to transfer to my USA account and my USA account charges me a fee to accept the transfer. All this including currency conversion fees.
So, I'm wondering if I can cut down the fees a little by transferring from my Korean bank account directly to PayPal. Anyone ever done that?
Thanks. |

not directly you have to do with it a credit card. Paypal refuses to transfer funds directly from a Korean bank account and won't even take your foreign ID to link them in the first place. You need to use a Korean's but there is no point. |

I think I have done what you are saying. I opened a Korean PP account in addition to my USA account. I tied my Korean Credit Card (would not accept a debit card) and then sent money home. My Korean Credit Card was charged (which gets paid off every month) and the money showed up in PP back home. I then transfered it to my checking at home.
This was VERY fast. The transfer was done Korea to USA in minutes. It however was more expensive than the KEB Foreign Remittance Account that I prefer to use. |
