Hey everyone.

Has anyone noticed the veritable disappearance of mosquitoes this summer? When the weather began warming up a few months ago I remember being pestered by them, but not since. What's up with that?

You had to just go and say this didn't you? lol. I bought this plug in a couple months ago, and I was thoroughly convinced that I wasn't getting bit like last year because of it. I thought I stumbled across the best mosquito killing device EVER! But, Maybe there ARE less mogis around this year and my plug-in is a scam like I thought it was before I bought it.

Anyway, maybe you are on to something about there being less of them around...I sure haven't gotten bit that much at all this summer.

You'd think there'd be more of them, too, with all of the rain we've gotten.

Exactly! With this kind of weather I would expect it to be heaven for them.
Yet I just camped at 3 different locations deep in the mountains of Gangwon-do and didn't see a single one of them.

The radiation in the rain from Japan wiped them all out.

Don't worry, they'll be back for September, October and November.

All the rain is exactly what is keeping them away. With the constant downpours there is no stagnant water for them to breed in.

Oh yes. All this rain is perfect for laying eggs. They'll be back when the rain stops.

I thought it was because I moved into a high-rise ... but I haven't noticed many outside either.

Thanks very much everyone for your information. How interesting! Now I suppose we can change the name of the song to "The Itsy Bitsy Mosquito" LOL Smile
