impossible, i lived in china. everyone was miserable and never smiled. the workers that i did talk to worked 7 days a week and had about a day or 2 off in a month and they slept at the shop they worked at. that's happy?

Agree. There is a place in Shenzhen where I used to stay. Great food, great accommodation, great massages, great shopping, beautiful and friendly women, cheap awseome food, cheap cold beer. I was happy! Actually delirious with joy.

China in first place, South Korea in 152nd place. Message to the North Korean people: If you want to escape North Korea (the 2nd happiest place on earth), go to China, not South Korea. The Chinese will happily take care of you.

I'm surprised so few South Koreans try to defect North, one of the happiest place on earth!

I know I bash China waaay to often, but believe me when i say that I have NEVER been to a more hellish place, where people are utterly miserable in their dealings, where people just don't seem to give a damn about anyone else....

Is it all those years of Communism ?? Is it godless idolatry ? Was it a social experiment gone wrong by the Party ?

I don't hate the people, no. I feel sorry for them that they have to live in that soul-less place. Sad

This makes sense; in a Barack-Obama-wins-the-Nobel-Prize-for-Peace kind of way.
