Im looking to move early August and get my own place. Is there a standard as to when the housing deposit is due? Is it possible to pay after moving in?

typically u leave a deposit to secure the place, then you pay the rest on the day you move in.

anything is possible as long as the landlord agrees.

Typically you pay 10% of the deposit to reserve/lock in the place. Than once you move in you pay the rest + first months rent.
