A friend of mine is going to take care of the paperwork. Do they actually need my passport or will a coloured copy do? I am going to get my visa anyway from the US because that's where I am at, so I am going to apply from there.
I just have to have my Canadian B.A. authenticated in Canada. I don't remember sending in my passport last time. I could be mistaken.

Typically they will need a copy of your passport and a letter of authorization to allow your friend to take care of it for you. Your friend will also need to produce ID and pay for the certification of the copies ($4.40 each). (get a couple done "just in case".)

My dad did mine. I'm pretty sure he used a black and white copy without issue, he definitely didn't have my passport.

Hoping someone, especially ttompatz, can help me out.

I am renewing my visa in August and I am thoroughly confused as to what I have to do regarding my diploma.

The 1345 helpline gave me one answer, my vice principal phoning immigration got another answer, and me phoning Gwangju Immigration got yet another slightly different answer.
It seems that I must show them a notarized copy of the diploma.
However, Gwangju Immigration said something about the Canadian Government needs to see it.
So what do I do?
Do I need to take it to the Canadian Embassy in Seoul after it is notarized?

I should note that I will be vacationing in Canada in July so I will get my CRC done electronically at that time (three weeks or less turnaround), and I will get my diploma notarized.

Thanks for the help.
A confused Canadian Rolling Eyes

For Canadians, you have to get it notarized, then it needs to go to a Korean consulate where they will verify it (in place of an apostille). Ignore whatever immigration is telling you.
