Any recommendation? The adults are pretty good at speaking, about (high) intermediate level. I can go look in the bookstore on the weekend. Mainly thinking we need topics to discuss. They are mainly interested in improving their speaking.

A good book I have used is in the Resource Books for Teachers series called Conversation. It's an Oxford University Press release. Nolasco and Arthur are the authors. Smile

If they are higher level students, you could use the "conversation topics for Korean students" books put out by PNU, written by Jack Martire. I'm using the mid level one now, and it seems quite interesting for the students. It is too difficult for the lower levels though.

There is also a low-level book, but last time I looked, it was very old. The topics are mainly dealing with early to mid '90s issues, so they seem a bit dated for today's students.

The mid and high-level books are very current and useful. I don't know if they have put out a more modern version of the low level book, but I wish they would.

Some other books that may be useful are

Express yourself - not bad for lower levels, but can be a bit dull.

Let's Talk - similar to the above.

Also, if you want a book of just questions for students to work on, the LeBonte's conversation questions book is useful, but can be a bit boring by itself.

anyway, I hope this helps.

Cheers

If they are working in an office, I like Workplace English Office File.

I found it at Kim & Johnson's.

A good book for (high) intermediate discussion is Ideas and Issues by Olivia Johnston and Mark Farrell, Chancerel Press.
