So the new teacher at my school emailed me re wifi public networks. He wants to access the net for free from his laptop. I told him it's not a good idea tho I can't pinpoint any Korean laws against this.

Can anybody refer me to anything concrete? Even if a network is not secured I don't see why anybody should surf secretly for free off somebody else's connection.

Lots of company's provide public wifi hotspots, from the little cafe on the corner to the 10 Department stores across the road.
Most connections won't be good enough to download anything significant but you can easily check and send emails.
There's so much unsecured wifi, I get almost a constant connection on my ipod to and from work.

Key word = Public
