tortillas are easy enough to make from scratch.
4c flour, 1tsp salt, 2tsp baking powder, 1.5c water, 2tbsp lard (or more likely since you are here margarine).
(makes 24. If you need less or don't want to cook and freeze the extra then scale it down by 1/2).
1. Whisk the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a mixing bowl. Mix in the lard with your fingers until the flour resembles cornmeal. Add the water and mix until the dough comes together; place on a lightly floured surface and knead a few minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide the dough into 24 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
2. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Use a well-floured rolling pin to roll a dough ball into a thin, round tortilla. Place into the hot skillet, and cook until bubbly and golden; flip and continue cooking until golden on the other side. Continue rolling and cooking the remaining dough.
Alternatively, if you have access to costco, they have them in the freezer.

| Homeplus often carries a Korean brand of tortillas. They can usually be found in the freezer case near the frozen pizza. |

| The foreign food market in Itaewon has them. If you're lazy, nicedeli.com delivers the same ones to your door for a few chun won more. |

Tortillas are not at all hard to find these days. You certainly don't need to go all the way to costco or some foreign food market in Itaewon. Almost every E-mart, Lotte Mart, Homeplus, Kim's Club, etc has tortillas (in the frozen section). There are several Korean manufacturers nowadays. It's not quite to the point of being able to find them in any corner store, but it's getting close. Even my crappy school cafeteria is serving tortilla wraps on a regular basis.
I would imagine that if you're making quesadillas finding decent cheese would be a much bigger obstacle. |

| I've tried the tortillas made in Korea. They are okay in a pinch, but I'd rather get the ones sent from California that I can get in Itaewon or online. Decent cheese is easy, though pricey. |
