A Korea-brewed beer is the latest among a raft of campaigns aiming to help the countrys endangered Asiatic black bears.
A percentage of proceeds from the second batch of Moon Bear IPA to be released at a Seoul bar will go toward raising awareness of the plight of the bears, often called moon bears, which are farmed in Korea for their gall.
The popular Indian Pale Ale is being sold at Craftworks Taphouse and Bistro in Itaewon to support charity Little Bear Foundations education work on the issue.

| Reminds me of some story I saw in 2008 or so where some bear was "terrorized" a campground by going through everything (scaring everyone into their tent) only to stumble on a 30 case and guzzle all the cans and pass out, allowing everyone to flee. The park rangers then tranquilized and safely removed the bear thanks to, you guessed it, more beer as bait. |
