|
|
i'm about to finish my job with gepik right now and i'm buying a flight home. now, i understand that epik gives you 1.3 million regardless of your flight cost...so i'm considering buying a round trip flight and changing my ticket once i know when i'm coming back. do you know if they require you to show your flight ticket and if they would deny the flight money because it was a round trip ticket? obviously, it's a little shady and i'd like to hear from someone before i go through with it. thanks. |

It is a contractual matter. What does your contract say?
If it is an exit allowance then you can do what you want.
If it is reimbursement then they will want to see the ticket and receipt.
If they are buying the ticket then you get what they give you.

I can't promise you anything but all EPIK contracts I have seen in the past couple of years give you 1.3 million regardless of what you buy, where you come from, whether you spend less than that or more than that etc.
If you leave at the end of your contract, you get 1.3 again. If you re-sign, you get 2 million to cover a return flight.
My example, I paid for a flight from Birmingham, UK, via Dubai, to Seoul. It cost me about 340 pounds or roughly half of the 1.3 million I was given by EPIK. Lucky me. North Americans had generally had to pay a lot more than that. I figured at least it went a little way to paying back my pension. |

Basically, it's a flat rate. Do with it as you will. |
