i am going to phuket by myself for 9 days in july. i want to do more than just chill on the beach, so here is what i have planned. i was wondering if anyone has recommendations on good places/companies for the following things (or places/companies to AVOID) or any other "to do" suggestions.
-snorkeling day trip to ko phi phi
-kayaking day trip to phang nga
-elephant trekking
-spa day
-thai cooking class

not many elephants or jungle on Phuket island (most people go up north for treking).

There's a lot of places to do the shorter elephant rides, I did one that lasted about an hour on a rubber plantation. I ended up regretting it though after seeing how the animals are treated.
As far as Phi Phi, you really should at least do an over-nighter. It's about a 5 hour round-trip by ferry from Phuket. |
