Anyone have any news to share on the semi-frequent GILI jobs that pop up in Gangweon? The amenities, benefits and salary sound fine and I'm not so concerned about living far away from the bright lights. Any first-hand accounts? Thanks in advance.

I never worked here, but I have visited the site. It is beautiful with huge office windows that look out into the blue-green East sea. Teachers and students even have their own private section of the beach, as well as a gym to work out. The Korean teacher who gave my coworkers and I a thorough tour, answered our questions honestly. She said that the one day activity camps are all right, but the 3+ day camps can be demanding. The Korean teachers will stay overnight with the visiting students, but foreign teachers will be asked to work longer hours (paid overtime). When not doing camps, teachers are preparing materials and attending meetings, and/or training other Korean teachers. The activity booklets for the camps are revised and changed every two years. GILI also has traveling English mobiles, but I don't have any info about this. |

Hi..
Same question, but specifically with regard to the mobile *bus* position - has anyone actually done this? I'd appreciate any scoop on this.
Thanks |
