| What is the Korean word for prenatal vitamins? I assume I can just get them at a pharmacy. Does anyone have any recommendations for a certain kind or brand? |

Ihope it's improved, but 4+ years ago our Doc said " No vitamins. Vitamins bad for baby!!" And this was even after my wife explained about prenatal vitamins and folic acid in Korean.
Many doctors here are behind the times in this regard.

Sure, you can get them here: http://www.iherb.com/Search?kw=pre-natal+vitamins
Faster and cheaper (with the world's most economical shipping rates with very efficient tracking included).
You can also get a $5 discount on your first order from this company if you use this discount code: COC920
And all the labeling will be in English, so you will be able to understand it.
Good luck. |

I second iherb for cheap vitamins. But the ones I take should be available at most pharmacies, I think. They're called Elevit (pronounce as "elebeet" at the pharmacy) and are a comprehensive prenatal. I got some some extra folic acid from iherb (just a cheap bottle) and took it early in pregnancy to make sure I was getting enough, and now I take extra iron and calcium/magnesium to supplement. I guess you can get iron (bad-tasting liquid form, I believe) from welfare offices for free (in your third trimester) but I never bothered because I couldn't find the one near me.
For some reason Elevit is cheaper here than in is in the US. It's lucky, because most other vitamins here are more expensive. |

My wife got hers from iherb. Her doctor had prenatal vitamins displayed in a case like they were made of cold. I believe a one month supply cost more than the entire amount of vitamins my wife purchase for pre and postnatal care.
Sorry I don't know how to say prenatal in Korean. Guess you still don't have an answer. |

| I just say 임산부를 위한 비타민 (imsanbu rul weehan bitamin), "vitamins for pregnant women." I guess they are also sometimes called 프로나탈 (pronatal) or 임산부 전용비타민제 (imsanbu cheonyong bitaminche), "comprehensive vitamin for pregnant women." |

Yea you should order from iherb.com. I buy Chai and herbal tea from them. They have fast shipping to Korea for about $4 and the products are good and usually discounted.
First time buyers can use this coupon code to get $5 off your first order YAJ537 |
