Here are a few topics that might prompt debate:
1. North and South Korea should/should not reunify.
2. Should cosmetic surgery be banned?
3. Should public schools reinstate corporal punishment?
4. Should students wear school uniforms?
5. Are certain topics inappropriate for debate? |

Legalized prostitution. In Korea it is illegal but rampant. In some countries it is legal or partially legal. You need to bring some research and viewpoints to the class because they my not have thought about it before. But my students talked well about it. |

If you want to bring this up there's a popular movie" You are my Sunshine" about an HIV + Tea lady who knowlingly infected her partners.
You can probrubly get some clips from it on youtube.
Small group discussion topics by Jack Matire has some cool topics like this. Be careful some students don't like these kinds of debates.
Duane Voress has some cool topic books that are styled after Dear Ann Landers. Alternativly you can just go use Dear Ann Landers and just print. |

It used to be legal and regulated. Now its partially legal. The law says no but, it's obviously widely practiced. |

Clamping down on the obvious targets. Like pink houses. I doubt this would effect a high end business club in Kangnam. |
