Just wondering, I am closing out my trading account to bring the cash to Korea. I think we're heading for a major crash, and I want to have as much cash as possible to buy some PM's when the price crashes like it did in 2009. I'm not sure if the trading account will wire the money to Korea, but I do have a checking account in the USA.
So I was wondering, if I had the money sent to my US checking account and deposited a check in my Korean account, will they cash it and deposit to my Korean account? Has anyone done this before? |

Going the other way, people set up a remittance "line" with their account in their home country. Then you can send funds this way. In order to do this, you have to talk to the Korean bank and set it up, using SWIFT code and routing number.
I would think the same would be with sending money from your home country. I never tried it though. |
