What is the best way to do this and how long and how much does it cost?
Found a cheap flight to Europe, but this is one of the things I have to deal with...
Anyone done this before?
Cheers in advance... |
How long do you have between arrival in and departure from Japan? It'd be best if you have at least 4 hours. 3 hours doable, but much less than that would be a bit risky IMO if you didn't know what you were doing. I used to live near Haneda, and getting to Narita was a serious pain in the arse, TBH.
I think your best bet would be the Limousine Bus. It takes up to an hour and a half, but no combination of trains will get you there any faster. The info on the above link is a little incomplete actually. 90 mins would be journey time from the international terminal at Haneda to terminal 1 north at Narita. But if you were travelling to either the south wing of T1 or T2 at Narita it would be a little bit less. I'm pretty sure the price is Y3000.
You can reserve online, but only in Japanese. Otherwise, you'll need to buy a ticket from one of the machines in the airport, or, probably better, get one from the information desk.
The Limousine buses are reasonably well marked and, once you're on board, you can't really go wrong as they announce pretty clearly in English which terminal the bus is arriving at.
You could do Haneda - Narita a little cheaper on certain trains, but I wouldn't recommend that. There are so many different lines on the Tokyo subway/train network and it can be really confusing if you're new to Japan and don't know any Japanese.
This link should give you the limousine bus times.
